Tao Of Ox

Way of Flow

Qigong + 6 Healing
Sounds

Welcome

Hi, I'm Seersha and this is the Tao Of Ox where I share with you everything I've learned on my own healing journey from trauma, physical injury and now learning to live as a neurodivergent person.

The practices I teach incorporate a bled of therapies and Japanese concepts for living.

I've chosen a few different ways to share this journey with you, because the way you learn is different from the next person.

So here's a breakdown:

  • Online/In Person Classes for people who prefer interaction

  • Online Courses for people who like to go deep into learning

  • Prerecorded Video Classes when a regular time is hard to find

About This Path

The Way Of Flow is the bridge between mind and body. Whilst the Way Of Presence settles the mind and the Way Of Compassion softens the heart, the Way Of Flow incorporates Qigong, a Chinese movement practice and the 6 Healing Sounds to shake loose stagnant energy and trapped emotions in the body.

For anyone living with trauma or who like me are Neurodivergent, the Way Of Flow provides a Somatic and body based language to connect with the body.

The Traumatised Body

Trauma isn't just a memory or something we experience in the mind, it is an experience of the body, often locked in the muscles and fascia and can present in many ways from person to person.

Trauma can sometimes present us with the challenges of not being aware of how it is manifesting in the body, but then when becoming aware of how the body is holding onto it knowing how to the release that trauma from the body.

There are many ways of releasing trauma, however due to the gentle breath based movements of Qigong the practices of Qigong and the 6 Healing Sounds can provide a practical route out of suffering.

3 Benefits For Trauma

Thawing

Qigong's gentle and repetitive movements signal to the nervous system that you, the Ox, are no longer trapped, allowing for a safe "thaw" without overwhelming you.

Vagal Tone

Elements of Qigong and the 6 Healing Sounds offer a way of affecting the vagus nerve, stimulating this nerve to bring about a vagal reset.

Stress Cycle

Trauma can often leave us in an unfinished stress cycle of "Threat Energy". The movements of Qigong allow that cycle to complete and stress to be released.

The Neurodivergent System

The Neurodivergent experience consists of a sprectrum of experiences of the self and the world, but for many the external world can feel "not enough", and for Neurodivergent people like me it feels like "too much".

A single approach will never work for Neurodivergent folk, however Qigong can form part of a whole approach to helping Neurodivergent folk to live well and support creating balance and harmony.

3 Benefits for Neurodivergent Folks

Movement

The deliberate and weighted movements of Qigong can provide intense feedback to the body, supporting with grounding.

Regulation

The rhythmic nature of Qigong can act as an intentional form of "stimmin", providing a predictable and soothing sensory loop, helping to reduce overwhelm.

Executive Offloading

Qigong movements are simple and repetitive and slow, designed to be intuitive and flowing reducing the executive load experienced with complex high demand tasks.
